ABC Smoothie Bowl (Almond, Banana & Chocolate!)

ABCSmoothie Bowl

Hi guys!

I’m popping in to share a delicious smoothie bowl recipe that I’ve been LOVING lately. It took me a while to hop on board the smoothie bowl train but I finally found one that I’m into. I’m not a huge fruit smoothie fan but this one is disguised as a decadent, creamy bowl of – dare I say – dessert? It really is though!

This has really been helping curb my sweet tooth lately and it’s super filling to boot. I tried to make some almond butter cereal treats last week (that failed miserably) so I decided to crumble those on top, alongside some mini dark chocolate chips. You could top the bowl with sliced banana, granola, cocao nibs, drizzled almond butter – anything that you have on hand and enjoy.

Check out the recipe below and let me know what you think!

  1. 1 cup milk
  2. 1 tsp cocoa powder
  3. 1 tsp almond butter
  4. 1 frozen banana
  5. 4 ice cubes
  6. Toppings of your choice
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into a bowl and add toppings of your choice.
  3. Enjoy!
  1. You may use any type of milk that you like. I've used almond, 2% and even Fairlife chocolate milk - they all tasted great!
  2. I often times add a little extra almond butter. Play with the measurements and use whatever suits your taste.

Haha! I see them all over Instagram and have noticed a lot of restaurants carrying them. This homemade version is quickly thrown together and delicious 🙂

Haha, I always thought the same thing (and my husband looks at me weird when I pour this into a bowl)! I make this particular smoothie really thick – almost like a Wendy’s frosty – so it can’t possibly be drank through a straw. Plus, all of those delicious toppings would get stuck! 😉
