I’m popping in to share a delicious smoothie bowl recipe that I’ve been LOVING lately. It took me a while to hop on board the smoothie bowl train but I finally found one that I’m into. I’m not a huge fruit smoothie fan but this one is disguised as a decadent, creamy bowl of – dare I say – dessert? It really is though!
This has really been helping curb my sweet tooth lately and it’s super filling to boot. I tried to make some almond butter cereal treats last week (that failed miserably) so I decided to crumble those on top, alongside some mini dark chocolate chips. You could top the bowl with sliced banana, granola, cocao nibs, drizzled almond butter – anything that you have on hand and enjoy.
Check out the recipe below and let me know what you think!
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp almond butter
- 1 frozen banana
- 4 ice cubes
- Toppings of your choice
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a bowl and add toppings of your choice.
- You may use any type of milk that you like. I've used almond, 2% and even Fairlife chocolate milk - they all tasted great!
- I often times add a little extra almond butter. Play with the measurements and use whatever suits your taste.
