The first day of spring is right around the corner (March 20th to be exact). I used to think that fall and winter were my favorite seasons but I believe I’m warming up to spring (pun intended!). Now that I have a toddler to entertain and explore with, the cold weather months are just dreary, gray and well…COLD. We’ve been experiencing 70° weather lately and it’s been absolutely wonderful! We’ve explored the Eno River, played outdoors and even walked around barefoot in the grass. It feels so good to have the sun on our skin and the beautiful breezes blowing through our hair.
This brings me to my Spring 2016 Bucket List. I’ve actually never made a bucket list but thought it would be a fun way to “plan” exciting activities, get outdoors and make lasting memories. As a stay-at-home mom, it can be easy to become a bit complacent and fall into the same old routine; I’m guilty of it from time to time as well(especially when the weather is yuck!). Having a bucket list will shake things up a bit and allow for exciting, fun and enjoyable experiences.
You can actually find many spring bucket list examples and templates online – It’s a great place to start to get your brain going. Feel free to use some of my ideas below as well!
- Host an Easter egg hunt
- Dye Easter eggs
- Have a picnic
- Visit the Easter bunny
- Hike the Eno River
- Fly a kite
- Make a meal using ONLY ingredient’s from the farmers market
- Have an amazing 2nd birthday party for Charlee
- Visit a berry farm and pick berries
- Bake treats and deliver to a local police station/fire department
- Make and wear a crown of flowers
I really enjoyed putting this list together and thinking of things that Charlee and I can do together, as well as fun things to do with friends and family. I invite you to share some of your ideas for spring activities!
