The Honest Truth: Prize Candle

My Mom gets me.

She knows what I like and never fails when it comes to my birthday, Christmas or “just because” gifts. I am super easy to buy for but I digress, she just gets me.

With that being said, she didn’t disappoint this Christmas. My favorite gift from her (aside from the beautiful throw pillows for our bed!) was a Prize Candle she wrapped beautifully and topped with a bow. It was a welcome surprise and I was excited to burn it and dig out the ring!

Prize Candle’s are 100% soy candles that have a surprise within them; each candle has a ring worth anywhere from $10 to $5,000 inside! So not only do you get a wonderfully scented candle to burn but, you also get a pretty ring and the excitement of the appraisal as well.

Mom also purchased a Prize Candle for herself and my sister and we all received different holiday scents. My Mom got Ski House, my sister received Cranberry Harvest and I got Holiday Spirit; they all smelled great! Mine had a soft, clean pine scent that my husband and I really enjoyed. I was eager to get the ring out so we let it burn for an entire day and that evening, I made my husband dig it out! A fun fact about me: I have ZERO patience and am probably one of the most impatient people you will ever meet.

Enclosed in a plastic case was my pretty ring and an appraisal code. My ring was gold with small white stones surrounding a very large purple stone. Purple is my favorite color so I immediately saw that I would like it. I entered the appraisal code on their website and was pleasantly surprised! My ring is worth $200!

My Mom’s ring is quite pretty as well; it is a silver filigree band with a big round, red stone. While she didn’t seem too excited about it (and it was only worth $10), I told her it looked like my birthstone and she then proceeded to tell me that I can have her ring. So this whole Prize Candle Christmas gift was a win-win-win.

All in all, I am quite pleased with the product and experience.  It was so fun to excitedly burn the candle, claim my prize, appraise it and then compare with my Mom; she really enjoyed it as well. These are a fun gift for the person who has everything or is hard to buy for. My Mom also said that she plans on getting me one every year for my birthday and/or Christmas so it will become a fun tradition for us.
