So another week has come and gone – well actually, it’s been closer to 2 weeks since my last pregnancy update! I. just. can’t. get. it. together!
I’m starting to feel a bit more like myself, I think (more like wishful thinking!). I haven’t worked out in two weeks though, if that tells you anything. My day to day feeling and overall mood lately can be characterized by one word – BLAH. I’m hoping as I ease on in to my second trimester, I’ll regain a little pep in my step and feel a bit better!
How far along? 11 weeks 6 days
Total weight gain/loss: I’m down 4 lbs
Maternity clothes? Nope
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Currently in a love/hate relationship with sleep. I feel like I could nap all day (although with a busy toddler, that doesn’t happen) but then at night, I wake up constantly and have a hard time getting back to sleep. Womp, womp.
Best moment this week: Not pregnancy related – seeing Charlee do really well in her first swim lesson!
Have you told family and friends: The whole world knows now! 🙂
Movement: Not yet!
Food cravings: Still sticking to my egg white english muffin sandwiches every morning! I’ve also been eating a lot of fruit (not normally a fruit person), craving fruit juice (orange juice specifically) and carbs are still pretty constant.
Anything making you queasy or sick: The scent of our dogs! They typically only hang out in our living room and I have a hard time even stepping foot in there. No one else can smell them but to me, they smell revolting! Poor pups! Also, still can’t eat grilled chicken or be within 5 ft of bananas! Funny story – my mom and I went grocery shopping yesterday and I had to buy bananas for banana bread. I tried my hardest to keep them in my cart but they were all I could smell and then the gagging began! I made my mom push them in her cart for the rest of our grocery trip. Thanks mom!
Have you started to show yet: This one is up for discussion. My upper stomach is bloated like a ballon so I LOOK pregnant but it’s not the baby showing yet. No baby bump, just a bloat bump.
Gender prediction: I’m still feeling confident that I have a little boy in my belly but friends and family all seem to agree that they think it’s another girl. Charlee refuses to even listen to us when we discuss the potential for a baby brother, “I don’t want a baby brother. I want a baby sister!”
Labor Signs: No, no, no.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Depends on the time of day. I have horrible nausea that starts every afternoon around 3-4 and lasts all night. I’m pretty pleasant all morning, up until the nausea kicks in; then I’m a total grump!
Weekly Wisdom: Appreciate small victories.
Milestones: Getting closer and closer to 2nd trimester!
That’s it for now guys. I’m off to chug a glass of OJ and nibble on some of Charlee’s Goldfish crackers 🙂
I hope you all are having a wonderful week!
